The club are on the verge of closing two deals this week, in the form of Karim Adeyemi and Jesse Bisiwu, with the latter likely to be a reinforcement for the youth department.
Barcelona are looking out for such reinforcements in the youth segment, with Jorge Salinas being one of the players linked with a move to Catalonia.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are prepared to include several youth academy players as part of a deal to bring Salinas to the Camp Nou, although the finer details of the negotiation have proven complicated.
The report suggests that Barcelona, unwilling to meet Racing Santander’s full valuation in cash, floated the idea of handing over some of their young prospects to help bridge the gap, though no specific names were mentioned.
A further season-long loan back at Racing was also raised as a possible avenue, with super-agent Jorge Mendes overseeing the player’s affairs.
Salinas is a genuinely coveted talent, and Barcelona are not alone in their admiration, with Atletico Madrid also having shown an interest in the versatile defender.

The main stumbling block has been a clear difference of opinion over Salinas’ valuation.
Barcelona had hoped to sign the youngster when they believed his release clause stood at €8 million.
However, following Racing’s promotion to LaLiga, the Cantabrian club insisted that figure had doubled to €16 million, with the disagreement stemming from the exact timing of the increase.
Racing, for their part, have made their stance abundantly clear. The club previously issued a strong response to Barcelona’s interest, insisting they do not haggle over their most important players.
Barcelona’s interest in Salinas is hardly surprising given the season he has just enjoyed. The young defender capped off an excellent 2025-26 campaign by winning the European Under-19 Championship with Spain.
His versatility across the backline is a major part of his appeal, offering exactly the kind of adaptable defensive profile Barcelona value.
Contracted to Racing until June 2029, the player himself will ultimately have a significant say in his future.
