PHOENIX —Eagles coach Nick Sirianni appears to have no plans to bring back legendary offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland in any capacity.
“Obviously, we moved on with our with our staff, and really enjoying working with these guy,” Sirianni said at the NFL owner meetings on Monday when asked if Stoutland could return to the staff in a new role. “Obviously love the guys that are no longer part of our staff. Always will have a relationship with those guys, with everything they’ve done for our football team. But right now, we’re just focused on on the upcoming year with this staff.”

Stoutland and the Eagles parted ways this offseason after 13 seasons. Stoutland’s agent, Alan Herman, told ESPN in January that Stoutland was frustrated that his voice was not being heard within the organization. One week later, Stoutland left the team.
The Eagles replaced Stoutland with former Vikings offensive line coach Chris Kuper, whose contract was not renewed by Minnesota after the 2025 season.
Two weeks ago, right tackle Lane Johnson said on the Fitz & Whit Podcast that Stoutland will be “around in some capacity this year. So it’s not like he’s going a long ways away.”
On his podcast appearance with former Eagles quarterback Nick Foles last week, Stoutland said that the Eagles have not contacted him about staying with the team in a new role.
A few days later, Sirianni basically shut down the idea of him returning, too. It remains unclear what Johnson meant by his comment.
The Eagles are set to begin a new era without Stoutland, running an entirely different scheme under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion.
