Jayson Tatum continues to thrive when the offense runs through him, and it happens to lead to Boston Celtics wins, too. After posting a usage rate of 39.4 percent in Sunday night’s victory over the Charlotte Hornets, Tatum's personal coach Drew Hanlen pointed out that Boston has a near perfect record whenever JT's usage climbs above 33 percent, dating back multiple years.

The numbers speak for themselves. Whenever Tatum shoulders a heavier offensive load, Boston wins. That dominance has become even more pronounced as the team pushes toward the 2025-26 playoffs at 50-24 overall. Tatum’s ability to create for himself and others continues to fuel the Celtics, even as he works himself back into mid-season form.

What makes the current Celtics such an interesting study is that they also have an MVP candidate in Jaylen Brown who is playing the best basketball of his career.

Once the playoffs begin, Tatum will be even stronger, and Boston figures to have the best one-two punch in the NBA as they look to win their second title in three seasons.

Rice was not involved in action against Uruguay last Friday and Saka played no part too. The Gunners are likely to field a second-string team against Southampton in the quarter-final of the FA Cup on Saturday. Arteta could look to hand much-needed rests to some of his stars, but he knows he cannot afford to undermine the Saints given what is at stake. They remain firmly in contention to win the three competitions they are still in after the disappointment of the Carabao Cup, and victory this weekend would be huge.
