David Beckham has become the UK's first-ever billionaire sportsman.

The former England football captain and his fashion mogul wife, Victoria Beckham, doubled their wealth in the last year, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.

The A-list couple now have a combined fortune of £1.185bn; their wealth has exponentially increased from the £500m estimated net worth they had on the annual list last year.

The significant increase in the couple's combined wealth reportedly comes from David’s investments in the US, which include signing Lionel Messi to his club Inter Miami until 2028, which has lifted the value of his stake in the club as well as property development.

Victoria's fashion line, Victoria Beckham, has significantly contributed to its whopping net worth, with revenue from the brand totalling over £100 million.

Where else does the Beckhams' net worth come from?

As well as their aforementioned ventures, it isn't just the world of football and fashion that has landed the Beckhams in a lucrative spot.

David has been the face of countless advertising campaigns and sponsorships for brands including Adidas, Coty, BOSS, Haig, Armani, H&M, Sainsbury's, Samsung, Vodafone, Breitling, Pepsi, Calvin Klein and Gillette, among others.

While VB's namesake feels synonymous with high fashion, it's actually her beauty brand that rakes in the pounds, with Reuters reporting last year that the former Spice Girl could rake in an eye-watering $700 million dollars should she be interested in selling up.

Decoding the rich list

The publication explains that the Sunday Times Rich List 2026 is based on estimates of the minimum wealth of Britain’s 350 richest people or families, with valuations carried out between November 2025 and April 24, 2026.

Compiler Robert Watts explains: "The compilers of the Rich List measure identifiable wealth - such as land, property, racehorses, art or significant shares in publicly quoted companies. We exclude bank accounts to which we have no access and small shareholdings in a private equity portfolio. The actual size of someone’s fortune may be significantly larger than our conservative figures."

Edwards on team fitness, 'valuable' fans forum and Fulham

· Yahoo Sports

Wolves boss Rob Edwards has been speaking to the media before Sunday's Premier League game against Fulham at Molineux Stadium (kick-off 15:00 BST).

Here are the key lines from his news conference:

Visit sportbet.rodeo for more information.

  • Goalkeeper Jose Sa is available, while Hugo Bueno and captain Ladislav Krejci are also in contention after training on Friday.
  • Edwards said there are a few players with "a couple of knocks," but added that's "normal for this stage of the season".
  • On the fans forum that took place midweek: "It was never going to be all sunshine and roses. A lot of people are hurting and that's completely understandable. We are as well. It was valuable and great to hear some of the supporters' points of view, and to listen - as well as to communicate our points too."
  • He said he "took a lot of good faith" in the number of supporters who spoke to him after it finished, "showing their support and saying they hope we can be the ones to turn it around".
  • He spoke about how they "are going to work really hard now to build a team, a squad, and a better club" for the future.
  • On his post-match interview after the Brighton defeat: "I was frustrated with the first five minutes. That was my biggest bugbear because you can't start a game like that. It was a lack of focus and making the wrong decisions, which you can't afford to do against anyone at this level."
  • He said they "will chuck everything at it to win" the remaining two games because they "don't want to finish bottom of the league so that's something to aim for".
  • On the summer: "There's going to be a lot of change. A fresh look with people who want to be here and have a real hunger from day one. There's always a lot to get over the line, but we want to make sure we are aggressive so that we can get to work straight away." He added it would be "fantastic" to have players in for the first week of pre-season.
  • On opponents Fulham: "They are a good footballing team. They have a nice way of going about it and they can compete with anyone on their day as well. Really good individuals. It's a big challenge but one we are looking forward to. Let's just go and deliver a performance."
