Toulouse interested in Tawfik Bentayeb

Toulouse FC have lost Frank Magri this summer and may yet lose Emersonn, who is the subject of interest from Hull City and Ipswich Town, both newly promoted to the Premier League. Bids have even been submitted for the Brazil forward, although an agreement has yet to be found.

Le TéFéCé are, naturally, in the market for one forward this summer, perhaps more, depending on the future of Emersonn. As per a report from Sacha Tavolieri, they are showing an interest in Tawfik Bentayeb (24). The Moroccan forward is under contract at Union Touarga but is well known in France thanks to his exceptional season on loan at ESTAC Troyes in Ligue 2. During the last campaign, his 18 league goals in 28 games helped L’ESTAC to earn promotion to Ligue 1.

He also previously had a spell on loan at Rodez AF, once again in Ligue 2. Whilst Toulouse are showing interest, there is also interest from FC Basel, who have submitted a €2.8m bid, whilst Feyenoord and Saint-Gall are also in the race for Bentayeb.

Which Colts player will 'turn heads' in training camp? Insider makes pick

With training camp on the horizon, which Indianapolis Colts player will "turn heads"?

Visit mwafrika.life for more information.

This is the question that ESPN's Stephen Holder was asked recently. His pick? Wide receiver Josh Downs, who put together a strong performance during offseason programs.

With Alec Pierce sidelined for the time being, a lot of targets came Downs' way.

"That leaves the door open for slot receiver Josh Downs to continue with the playmaking he displayed during offseason workouts, when he looked to be the go-to target for quarterbacks working with the first-team offense," wrote Holder.

Downs was still a big part of the Colts' offense in 2025, totaling 84 targets, but his opportunities and production dipped with the emergence of tight end Tyler Warren.

He totaled a career-low 58 receptions for 566 yards with four touchdowns. He also averaged just 9.8 yards per catch, according to PFF.

That said, more opportunities will be coming Downs' way this season following Michael Pittman's departure. With Pittman now in Pittsburgh, there are 110 targets from last season now up for grabs. Replicating Pittman's production will be a group effort, but Downs figures to be a big part of that equation.

The Colts have remained extremely bullish on Downs and the impact that he can have.

"I think getting lost in this a little bit is ... Josh Downs," GM Chris Ballard said earlier this offseason, via ESPN's Stephen Holder. "I think Josh Downs is freaking good. I do. I've always thought he's good. I think allowing him some more opportunities, we're going to see some of the special stuff you've seen in the past, but more."
